Impetus

Impetus,

that’s all that’s

asked sometimes.

The shore is distant.

Iphigenia,

these are not apologies

but reasonable

requests.

The other half

awaits,

as Earth

meets Heaven.

The second self

yearns peregrine day

As this one needs

slow speech

and a throat.
